I am a sufferer of Lyme disease and co-infections. For nearly two years, I was dismissed, misdiagnosed, and told my symptoms were psychological. Eventually, a doctor tested me, and I received a CDC-positive diagnosis. By then, the disease had progressed significantly, invading multiple organs, including my heart, joints, and muscles. It also went neurological, severely impacting my cognitive and nervous system functioning. I went from being a fully functioning 40-year-old, an experienced practitioner of integrated treatment, and a licensed clinical mental health counselor for over a decade, to becoming essentially bedbound and financially strained. This disease has robbed me of my health, career, and financial stability, and I’ve received minimal support in my recovery journey. There are thousands like me who are suffering. The medical system has failed us. We urgently need recognition, research, and comprehensive care for those battling Lyme disease and co-infections. Thank you.

I am signing this petition on behalf of my daughter. She has lost her quality of life. it is such a helpless feeling. Lyme patients need so much help with validation, acknowledgment, insurance coverage, better testing, more Lyme Literate providers and affordable treatment.
