An organization as storied as Meyers deserves a field to call home. Played against them and coached against them an even coached for them, and they have always been a class organization. A classy act deserves a classy field.

The feild we use is so bad that kid regularly sprain their ankles as the feild is not flat.

The "renovations" to Minto Field were a travesty, and as a result the field is now unusable for its primary purpose. The least the city can do now is build an alternate facility for football now that they have built, inadvertently or not, an exclusive facility for field hockey.

The turf at sportplex is a disgrace and not suitable for football (or other sports that require quick changes in direction and / or contact to ground).
Have witnessed first hand several injuries (minor and major) and severe turf burns by players using sportplex field.
It is so bad that atheletes are fearful of playing on the turf.

My football experience with the Myers Riders was one of the most positive influences that shaped the person I am. Football provides great life lessons and the community of Ottawa needs to do what it takes to open the doors to as many young boys and girls to participate by helping with new facilities.

I am sorry that we even have to do this. I am thankful to Myers Riders they gave my son and so many other boys before and after a great many things. Builds their character, gives them a place to learn and belong. Lets get them a field.

This club has given so much to our community over the years, it have developed skills, and friendships that last a lifetime and can only be taught through team sports. It's time the community gives back and thanks not only the Myers Riders organization but also Sandy, Linda and thousands of volunteers over the years who have allowed us to feel like we were a part of something amazing. City of a Ottawa, it's time to step up and say THANK YOU!

I played for Myers as a kid and currently coach minor football here in Ottawa....a practice field for a team that has provided a safe haven for thousands of our youth in Ottawa for 42 years isn't too much to ask!

Hope City planners stop designating and calling new fields as soccer field and design multi purpose sports fields to accommodate all sports including football.

The "repairs" at Minto field were supposed to better the field but it's only been made worse. Someone is going to get seriously hurt using this field and at what cost? Give Myers Riders Football a proper football field!!
