I pray this passes, not only am I losing friends and co workers to Atlanta, ga for work, but the state of Florida is losing out on even more. Please pass this bill to create jobs, keep Floridians in Florida and create an economic boom for our state.

Please help us bring the Film industry back to Florida. It is good for the overall economy of our state - jobs, businesses, tourism, will all be positively impacted by bringing this industry to us. We have amazing film schools like Full Sail, Ringling and University of Miami. So many young graduates are fleeing the state looking for work opportunities in Georgia, Louisiana and the Carolinas. For veteran actors like myself, we are finding it so hard to find jobs. Please help!!

Hello,
As the film commissioner for Pinellas County Florida I'm currently in talks to bring no less than 10 films to the area. However all are waiting to hear what happens with our tax credit program. What a huge boost to the economy and tourism this will be if we can have an active program.
Thanks for your support.

Filmmakers used to come to Florida because it is a great place to film. However, due to other states giving incentives to filmmakers to film in their states, Florida loses many opportunities to film because we can't pay filmmakers to make Florida their number one choice.
Filmmaking (movies, tv, etc.) provides jobs, puts money into the communities, and taxes from people who get paid to the State of Florida. We have film schools that graduate students with a small pool of places in Florida to have a career in their field. Please help people and the State of Florida. VOTE YES at the special session.

Look at what film has done for the economy in Georgia! EVERYONE there is thriving and they are able to use the profits to help fund other areas that need the additional funding! So many careers are affected by the entertainment industry, not just actors. Tourism, housing, travel, hospitality, catering, wardrobe, directors, editors, cameramen, hair/makeup artists-the list goes on and on. It's a win/win for everyone.

I am a working actor in Central Florida. The reinstatement of the tax awards is extremely important to me and my family. Since the previous bill was expired, I have been forced to spend a great deal of money in other states on hotels, food, and incidentals, as I have had to travel consistently for work. As a single parent of three teens, who were all raised here in Orlando, this has been hard on all of us due to my constant need to travel In order to make a living. My children all intend to attend Florida Universities. But if the tax credits are not brought back, I may be forced to move my family to another state in order to survive. Please support our industry by voting yes, and bringing back the tax awards for film and television production. This bill provides THOUSANDS of jobs to Floradians, and generates revenue galore.
Thank you,
Betty Monroe

There are tons of opportunities for NEW JOBS in the film industry, and Florida is missing out! My company is having a hard time keeping talented people in the area because of a lack of film jobs local to FL. Atlanta and S. Carolina are showing job growth and increase in revenue from taxes.

I have to work in two different states for work in the movie industry. A lot of us that work in this industry would love to stay working here in our home state of Florida. We all in this industry need you to pass this bill so we all can stay and compete with the other state to the north of us.
