I have 3 potential films to bring back to FLORIDA to shoot, but unless there is some kind of incentives, I will be forced by our investors to spend our funds in another state! - Scott duPont Award winning Film Producer

I read through all 322 comments that are posted. The biggest single theme that stood out is a long standing truly indigenous Florida industry in search of support. I ask that we make this upcoming special session something really special for all of Florida's Creatives. Please support our media investment program.

This is about JOBS - we want to stay in FL but if producers won't bring their projects here we have to move to where the filmmaker is offered rebates. Movies come, hotels get filled up, restaurants get business, flower shops, prop shops, vintage shops, carpentry, painters, electricians, set decorators and the local industry pros get to go to work on that project. We have SUFFERED financially these past few years, people have moved to Louisiana and GA. It's about JOBS!!!!

I believe Florida's tax credit program for the film, TV and digital media industry should be on the agenda for the special session. The film industry brings a lot of revenue to the State of Florida.

Vote yes for FLA film industry!

Film is an indelible part of Florida, and to be a filmmaker here is meaningless unless we can produce films in our home state.

This is an absolute must to growing our strength in game development. We have the educational pipeline in place but for real jobs, real companies, real high paying jobs this is needed.

The film industry creates jobs in Florida. These are jobs that offer more than catering to the tourist and serving them in restaurants. We need more opportunities for the people in Florida and the Film Commission can make it happen.

We have to stop discriminating against creative artists in Florida. Obama Care does not cover independent/sub contractors/free lancers. It would be great to earn a living on my investment. I pay for a state and city license rent and insurance for 12 years with nothing to show for it because of not allowing film incentives. Meanwhile lawyers are making a killing with the elderly people. This is not right. Film Makers deserve a right to earn a living a fair living in the state of FL.

The Film Industry is important to Florida's economy, tourism and community.

Please save our jobs. The money we earn locally keeps the money we spend locally.
