Save the Entertainment Industry in Special Session

Please help us get this incentive back. My livelihood depends on it. I have been a working actor in FL for over 13 years and I love this state. Please don't make me move.

Dear Sirs - This bill will allow thousands of high paying jobs to flow to Florida's once flourishing film industry. I am not a Hollywood guy. Though I was a Sr. VP at Hallmark Entertainment for ten year, and though I come from a three-generation filmmaking family, I live in SW Florida and intend to hire as many local talents as I can. My wife and I both work in the Film and Television Industry. We both have our college degrees in Film. We have a combined experience over 28 years working in this industry. Our entire household's income comes from this industry. There are many families in Florida who are just like us. Please help keep these families working, and living in Florida.

I am an actor. I love Miami, i would not like to go to L.A to find a job.

The elimination of the film and television tax incentives forced our company to move production to Toronto for early next year. Millions of dollars now lost to Florida just from this one project.

Would film all the time in Florida if only there was an incentive that attracted studios

We Cannot allow or afford the entertainment industry to fade away here in Florida as these productions span away from Los Angeles & Hollywood California. We need to allow major projects into the state with these intensives. Jurassic World & Terminator Genisys were filmed in Louisiana with their impressive intensives it's a no brainier that these incentives have huge turnarounds if implemented in the right way.

As an artist myself, I see that there is an enormous amount of talent in Florida coming from all areas: Disney, Universal, Full Sail University, film & theatre schools across the state, but Florida is and will continue to lose many of these talented artists to Atlanta. Keep the Florida Film Industry alive by passing this legislation!

Billions of dollars of film revenue is pumping into Georgia, when that could easily be coming here!

Everywhere else has it.....y not Florida?

I do not want to have to move to Georgia because their is no work here for us graduates from Film School. Please make the right decision and vote yes, so even more Floridians can go to work. Thank you.
