Please consider including the film, TV and digital media industry investment program as part of the call for the special session.

Am actively involved in the South Florida film community, both as an actor and a filmmaker, and would love to improve the incentives to produce in the state. It's been proven that Florida is a prime location to shoot, so why not bring more projects and more money into the state by allowing more people to bring productions down this way.

Under-funding or ignoring the vibrant Florida Film, TV and Digital Media Industry won't balance your budget. What it will do, is create an exodus from our great state of creative, talented and professional people who rely on continuous work to earn a living. If they can't find it here in Florida, they will find it elsewhere - leaving in droves to support their families with work in other states. Stop playing politics with good paying Florida jobs.

Governor Scott came to Miami Dade College to check out the TV and Film facilities a couple of years ago. Most of the students he met and observed just graduated this spring. Let's see how many of those get employment in the industry if the film and TV investment program is scrapped.

We must continue to support the entertainment industry and the arts.
If you require more money ban cell phone use for drivers and collect the fines!

I am a teamsters and work in the Movie industry and without the incentive I have no work and have to go on unemployment when I can get it. The movies provide so much revenue for whatever city they are via hotels, food, car rentals, construction Ect. Which also provides revenue for companies not associated with movies. The production companies try and use local resources which in turns provides revenue for the small business owners. ask Clearwater how much review they made from Dolphin tale and Dolphin Tail two.

I have gone to places to work outside of Florida for projects I have received funding for because of their state incentives. I sat in on one of the meetings where Disney and EA Sports was present with members of legislature attended, and companies like EA Sports talked about the many employees they have, and how their business depends on the tax incentive. It would be a shame if they had to take the company to another state and give up all those jobs in Florida. I am hopeful that Florida can see the importance of this bill passing and get the many talented people in our industry working here!

How much more $$$$ do we have to lose to GA before the FL state legislature decides this industry matters. We can't all work in the hospitalliity business.

The following line alone speaks volumns..."affects more than 16,000 film & digital media production related companies, more than 100,000 Floridians working in the industry, and thousands of new graduates trying to secure their first job here in this great state"...please consider our film community's plea for a special session inclusion! Thank you.

Please keep the initiative alive!! Our welfare, lives and our children's lives will be impacted for the better for years to come!! I am a working mom in the industry that freelances as a wardrobe stylist, production coordinator, production assistant, and whatever else I can do to stay busy in the Tampa Bay industry. I am a proud graduate of Florida State University's College of Communications, and have a child in the public school system in Pinellas County. I use a lot of local businesses in the area for my work. Please keep the entertainment industry here in Florida, especially from my hometown, the "Info-mercial Hollywood," where HSN and many other lucrative studios operate out of. Thank you!
