As a PBS TV producer, I have struggled to find funds to produce my award winning documentary series, "Diamonds Along The Highway." Still we produced 10 episodes that were shown on the 14th largest station in the US. The shows were well received and we feel we did a service for not only our town of Sarasota, but for the entire State of Florida, as we told good stories about Florida's people places and history. With a little help we can continue to tell more worthwhile stories. If that isn't a good enough reason to help save the entertainment Industry in Florida, well then I'm left like the great Charlie Chaplin, silent.

This is a very important industry and our area can certainly accomplish great work with your support. There many individuals, businesses and academic institutions involved--and working together to increase the impact of the Entertainment Industry.

Miami is a place full of beauty and dreams. I moved here five years ago to pursue a dream in acting an modeling. I am always asked "Why not NYC or LA?" I chose Florida because it's a place I feel like I am at home. I have seen the industry here boom with movies, TV serious, and various productions but lately it has been very sparse. I want to stay in the place I call home now and continue to pursue what I love! Please support people like me who support Florida's Entertainment Industry now and in the future!

This could very well be the long-term answer to solving Florida's debt situation. By bringing more TV and Film productions to this state, you will be increasing revenue through economic growth, and a huge increase in JOBS! Please include this incentive program in your Special Sessions.

It would be lovely to have incentives so we can bring production to FL during the winter.

I am a television and movie producer in Jacksonville. I've done movies on NBC and Fox, reality shows, and now am working on a theatrical movie. It breaks my heart not to be able to consider my home state for production. We need our incentives back!!!!

I have spent 25 years in the film business and is it is really to bad to have had a thriving film industry and driven it away with a poor management decision. I made a move to Florida to continue working.

I have been in this industry for over 25 years and have to say that this is the worst time ever. Why is it so difficult for our elected leaders to save an industry that provides so many jobs and has such an direct impact economically to so many tens of thousands of Floridians. Also, the indirect economic impact to the state economy via tourism as we are highlighted as a location and destination all over the world without having to shell out a single penny -

Save film jobs, stop letting George win and take jobs from us. Stop worrying about your political agenda and do what's right for the people who elected you.
