Save the Entertainment Industry in Special Session

Please save the film industry in Florida so us actors and film makers do not have to leave the state we love so much.

Please help keep the film industry in Florida alive and prospering. This industry provides jobs not only in Film and TV but supports the tourism, hospitality and business industry. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.

Film and TV jobs in Florida offer triple benefits: 1. The salaries and rental fees they bring to the state. 2. The multiplier of that money spent in state. 3. The positive and beauteous exposure Florida gets internationally and nationally as a tourist destination. Look at what all that film work did to boost NY tourism....

I encourage this petition and hope it's purpose is achieved to secure further growth for our communications and entertainment industry as a whole. Florida can only contribute to empower the field or arts, film and humanities if we continue to foster growth and remain in the playing field.

The income generated by the production, housing and feeding of crews and casts ripples out to the general economy. It has proven itself in other states with gains and losses. Please restore the incintives.

Tv and Film can just rewrite a new town in, producers spend millions of dollars, lets be a competitor in the industry and not kill the industry here locally
