As a film educator, I have had many discussions with students who wish there were more film opportunities here in the Sunshine State. Keep our Florida students working here in the state by approving tax incentives which will bring more films to Florida!

This supports many jobs in Florida. You have proven that the voice of one lobbyist who is ignorant to the situation can stifle thousands of hardworking Floridians.

We do hair and makeup for the industry and haven't been to Florida for a project in years. Maybe the Governor is the problem!!

My team enjoyed filming Step Up 4 in Miami, would love to return but the producers take on such a massive endeavor with making a film that they rely on rebate programs, after all they put people to work, rent cars and trucks, stay in hotels pay location fees etc etc... Louisiana understands and that is why films go where the producer can get a break in the bottom line, its economics that work!

Portable AC is our business, its been down these last few years... we usually hire extra employees over the summer to service film and tv but we haven't had the business we used to have. Get this fixed so we can stay in Florida

These incentives are essential to the Florida filmmaking community. Not only to attract out of state dollars and productions, but to also foster and retain talent in the state of Florida. So many young entrepreneurial talents leave this state for better opportunity elsewhere. This incentive gives us the tools to attract investment to our projects and gives us a reason to stay in Florida, which results in job creation for our peers. Please treat our industry with respect and help us solidify our business in our state. I am a Florida native, and I'd really like to stay here.
