Brethren, please, please stop making comments to inflame the situation. We all love and support Gary and want him reinstated or at least allowed to run at the next Grand Lodge Annual Communication. You are the active voting members of our fraternity and we cannot afford to lose our vote. I love and respect your passion but this is not a proper time nor place.
Landmark 3 stinks! Unfortunately the Grand Master had the authority to remove Gary from his position. What I strongly disagree with is the GM not allowing Gary to run again in the fall. A total violation of the brethren’s right to elect the candidate of their choice. (Landmark 6?) The Grand Master and the elected line need to call a meeting of the Grand Lodge as soon as possible to address this situation.
Our lodges cannot afford to alienate the newer brethren as well as potential candidates from joining and getting involved. So far roughly 250 “active” brothers have signed this petition. Brothers who are active in their lodges. Who have in some instances carried their lodges during periods with trouble finding officers. Please don’t make comments to ruin your membership and hurt your lodges. This will be resolved. Maybe not as quickly as we would like but it will be resolved. Have “Faith” brethren and let’s work together as men and as Masons to make sure that RW Gary Olsen has his chance to serve our Grand Lodge as Grand Master in the near future. I support RW Gary Olsen and I am requesting a meeting of the entire membership of our Grand Lodge as soon as possible.

While I respect the authority that Grand Master, something that warrants this type of interactions needs to be brought before the brethren. There are some very serious allegations and I believe that there is something about they by-laws or the majority of members present.

I have known the SGW for over 15 years and have always found him to be open minded, thankful for help, willing to help in tough situations and never shirk his duty. What was described by the GM is not this Mason in my experience.
I think its time that all remember their obligations and that we are all on the level. The closing charge is one to keep in your heart.
The actions in the last few weeks that do not allow for due process and disenfranchise all the brothers that voted elected RW Gary J Olsen first as JGW and then as SGW.

Put the matter in the brethren hands. I don't see in any point of our legislation that an elected Gran Officer can be removed by the GM, and it can't be. It should be a conflict of interest and a very dangerous precedent.

Our craft has had many ups and downs since I was raised in 1995. I sign this petition with hesitancy since I fear the repercussions it may have, but I don't think RW Brother Olsen's removal was just and the suspensions of others who voiced their displeasures for said removal. There needs to be a session of Grand Lodge called to get this all out in the open and so that all involved can have their say. What are we teaching our young men and young ladies of our Masonic youth groups if we do let the accused have their say openly and in a just way. I could not see anywhere in the Grand Lodge constitution where it lays out what a Grand Lodge Officer duties are when it comes to traveling. I maybe wrong, but I know an open session needs to be called. There are many angry members.
