Majority of the students who are taking this program are not from canada but we have enough English knowledge to communicate. Also, the students who took this program for 4 years here are able to pass the board exam without IELTS.

Already Alberta has point location and modalities exam extra.. and caaa don't recognize us as doctor, they don't give us degree. They give us diploma... and now they want us to give english test.. then what is sense of spending 4 year program in english instructions. We could have done that in chinese..

I would be very happy to give any English test provided if school curriculum include English language course for grade 11, 12. Or English 20-30. This will remove curse from all of us for whole life, who are saying English is our 2nd language. I have suffered alot from this IELTS exam in my life. Each attempt cost so much money and every 2 year result gets expire, thanks God you guys are accepting 4 year old score. Already we are under so much stress of CAAA exams, and top of that English test which is not easy. If council/ CAAA is thinking that giving english test will improve or prove our English, then sorry to say this is not going to happen. If council/ CAAA is really concern about our english and want us to be proficient in English language then every school program should include in their curriculum with out raising tuition fees, so this curse of knowing english or not knowing english should permanently washed away from our life. And we can proudly say that yes we are graduate from Alberta Canada and now we know enough English.  DTCM program is 4 years program with English instructions in Alberta.  After doing that program if curse of English as 2nd language can not be washed away that means we will keep suffering from this curse. So please advise schools instead of adding unnecessary courses to their 4 years program add English language. Which is THE basics and necessary. Please save our life from this curse by adding English language course to curriculum not by adding test. Already Alberta has 2 extra exams point location and accupuncture modalities now english too... and top of that Alberta is not giving us name of doctor or degree of doctor... we all are called registered accupuncturist... are you guys helping newcomers to settle or trying to put more road blocks... I just want to know how caaa is helpful... what they are doing? Why only albertans suffer in Canada from one or two people's decision in caaa? Or by only those people who doesn't

IELTS, TOEFL don't prove our profession in the professional field. These tests are to prove the ability to study in English, not to prove the ability of working in the profession.

It is unnecessary to take the English proficiency text when you completed your TCM program in English from approved college in Alberta, It adds on the cost and. time for those who want to be a registered Acupuncturist and spend high tuition. Also it is discrimination.

Dr. SHIZHEN LI, had an education of only 3 years in a private school, but it didn't stop him to be worldly famous TCM doctor. It is the practice and experience that made a doctor successful. I am strongly against the policy for them to have English test.
