It is appalling that in 2016 this kind of behaviour is tolerated from an individual in leadership. When students are being expelled for infractions not on this scale and of this magnitude. The email apology is to secure her position. This behaviour is in the DNA make up of this person. She was caught.

If this insult slipped out of her mouth one wonders how much more is bubbling underneath.

Mr. Parapally should also resign since he is in charge and has aloud all discrimination that has gone on this far. This board needs a whole new transformation starting at the top! They discriminatell against all even kids with special needs. Just horrible! Get rid of him too!

An apology for such an agregious display of a racist way of thinking and speaking is NOT sufficient for the protection of students.

How can anyone from any minority group in her ward think for a second they would be properly represented by her? And how does a voice of hate have a seat and vote at the board table for all the kids in York Region? And importantly, why does anyone on that board want to share that table with someone thinks like this? It's 2017, she should do the only thing left to do that has a modicum of decency. Step down.

Zero tolerance is zero tolerance. There is no place for this in society today.

As a person of authority she should be an example. The same way students are disciplined adults in the school system should also be disciplined especially for uttering racist comments. Lead by example.
