I am very concerned about road safety along Huntington Road up to Eddington and beyond to Girton. I cycle along this road and feel traffic is too fast. I feel unsafe. the route from Eddington to Girton is very dangerous.

I am concerned about getting to the new university site safely on foot or cycle with my two young children. I hope to use the nursery and school there. I also cannot cross the road safely across from the garage on huntingdon road when getting the bus back from town.

I live in Girton and I am increasingly concerned about the prospect of my pregnant wife having to contend with the unsafe road conditions on her cycle to work in Cambridge.

I dislike the multitude of road markings around the new zebra/bike crossing as they cause too much distraction. There will be an accident there at some point. Would love to know if this complies with all relevant legislation.

Following the recent completion of the works, it does not appear to be any safer for either cyclists or pedestrians. The cycle path is not continuous heading into town on Huntingdon Road and the most dangerous pinch point, just before the Felix Hotel turning remains dangerous - cars cut into the cycle lane here because: there is no white line delineation; the junction to turn right to the Felix forces traffic toeards the cycle lane. Why are the cycle lanes not marked in red all the way in and out on Huntingdon Road. A shambles. Which traffic engineers designed this?

I am a University employee and my means of getting to work is by bike from Thornton Road. I am very concerned about the design of the junction and also the nature of the new cycleway into town on Huntingdon Road with a terrible pinch point at the Hotel Felix turning and mixed messaging to drivers with red cycle paths in some locations but black at the new junction (only just re-surfaced). Since the junction has been operational - I have seen most cars and lorries driving on top of the black cycleway heading North. There is no consistency and in some ways the cycle to, and from, work now seems more dangerous than previously - and a year of really very dangerous whilst the work has been undertaken.

University member, Cambridge City resident, cycle campaigner. The junctions on the site have not been designed in a way which is consistent with the claim of a nearly car-free development. Pedestrian and cycle crossings, where they exist, are indirect, slow, shared, or involve crossing multiple lanes of traffic. This is very far from the best practice which should be the goal, and pride, of the University in a city of international standing and attention.

just think that whole mix of bus users,pedestrians and cyclists is an accident waiting to happen.
