Students in the ISD School District should be allowed to wear headphones, air pods, etc. The old rules are outdated. Many trusted sources agree with music use in class, including Florida National University. A study conducted by LearningPotential.Gov says "Studies in neuroscience show that music can enhance brain function in children. Musical activities (such as playing an instrument, singing or just listening to music) stimulate the brain, and this brain workout leads to improved brain structure with the formation of new neural connections." Students in today's time have shorter attention spans than they used to. who could relate with this issue other than the students themselves. we are still running on most of the same rules that have been in schools for at least a hundred years. According to Santa Maria Collage, "It is no secret that the average attention span of people has decreased over the years. This is especially true for young people, who are bombarded with constant stimulation from digital devices and social media." Times are changing and so should the rules. STAND UP
