I have 3 boys currently attending Fairview, it would be devastating if my youngest could not start with his brothers.
Nevermind, as a single mother of 4, it would be nearly impossible to get children to two separate schools in the morning and I might have to then make my older children suffer and remove them from the program to accommodate schooling for all 4 boys

my son is now in grade 4 at ecole but i recall being amazed at how much french he learned in just the first 2 months of jk.. they r sponges at this young age and need the FI to remain starting in jk

I have two children in Dufferin and the third was to begin kindergarten in 2016. I know how important the early exposure to second language is for continued success in the elementary grades and am dismayed that my youngest won't have the same opportunity.

In order for children to learn a second language, it is best to do it as early as possible. Taking two years away from them can quite possibly be detrimental to them.

The earlier we introduce a second language the better chance they have at learning! Don't take that away from our children!

I have 2 children at Fairview already and my youngest will begin JK in September, 2017. It is NOT beneficial to anyone for me to send my youngest to a different school for 2 years before she can join her siblings. As a parent, I cannot understand why a provincial government in a bilingual country would work toward downsizing a French Immersion program, which is obviously very successful, particularly in this Board. If one of the problems is a lack of bilingual teachers, why are we discouraging our children to be bilingual?!

We need to grow the program has set out in all of the program policies. By eliminating JKSK you are no longer contributing to the growth of the program

I believe having french in these early years are very important. It gives the child confidence in grade one when they are learning aimple french words they have heard in kinsergarten.

I support keeping the current jk/sk french program in place, as it is beneficial for children to learn multiple languages at a young age.
