The Board of Supervisors must take action to prevent this kind of thoughtless behavior. There must be NO charcoal grills and no open flames. At least propane stoves can be turned off.

Ban open fires in El Dorado County and all California states. Thin out the forest in El Dorado County and all California states - duh!

How can our elected officials be so negligent and avoid what is "smoking" in their faces.? They have power to make this ban work to protect us, so, do the sane and right thing to do. SAVE EDC AND CALIFORNIA.! Please take this seriously.

There should be common sense restrictions on fires during periods when we are at high risk for wild fires. There should also be significant fines for throwing cigarette butts out the window.

A fire ban needs no explanation, just action. Ban open flames of any kind outdoors in El dorado county now, while we still have some outdoors to enjoy.

We just evacuated our entire community due to a fire. AQI for the past 16 days has been above 250 ranging up to 900. The Caldor Fire approaches SLT as this is written and the entire basin has been evacuated. We cannot afford to have locals and visitors light a match in the outdoors anywhere in the county let alone BBQ on an outdoor grill. One careless spark and that's it for countless people, animals and communities not to mention to exhausted first responders.

The lack of care for the community from tourists recreating in the Coloma Lotus valley has to be addressed. The noise, trespass, illegal activity and disregard for the environment and valley residents should not be taken lightly. I urge you to take the small step of banning open fires in El Dorado County, and specifically all Parks within the County and to pursue education and enforcement Countywide.
