This petition is for the return of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to William Paterson University. Unfortunately, because of their retirement in 2012, we do not have the honor of becoming a part of this sisterhood. When I say ‘we’, I am speaking on the behalf of a collective group of sophomores who are enthusiastic about joining a sorority that stands for feminism, political awareness, sisterhood, activism, and public service.

Everything this organization stands for directly aligns with the traditions of William Paterson University, and our students deserve the opportunity to unite with this organization. For 4 long years the Theta Upsilon chapter has been inactive and it is time to reactivate it!
