This petition is for the return of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to William Paterson University. Unfortunately, because of their retirement in 2012, we do not have the honor of becoming a part of this sisterhood. When I say ‘we’, I am speaking on the behalf of a collective group of sophomores who are enthusiastic about joining a sorority that stands for feminism, political awareness, sisterhood, activism, and public service.
Everything this organization stands for directly aligns with the traditions of William Paterson University, and our students deserve the opportunity to unite with this organization. For 4 long years the Theta Upsilon chapter has been inactive and it is time to reactivate it! If you are interested in bringing Delta Sigma Theta back to WPU please show your support and digitally sign this petition! Thank you!

Seeing this much energy behind the return of Delta Sigma Theta to campus is exhausting but deeply necessary. I am drained by the resistance we face yet this progress proves we are right to keep pushing forward.

WPU needs the Deltas back. Bring them home!
Delta Sigma Theta is elite. We deserve to have them back at William Paterson.
missing the presence of the ladies of DST on the yard... bring them back!!
It has been way too long. We need them back on campus asap.
