I come to Hawaii every couple of months for work. Fort De Russy has always been such a welcoming, fun spot to come and get a competitive game of Volleyball or just bump a ball around with some really friendly people.

My father is a retired navy captain. When my father was transferred to Oahu the valleyball courts at Fort Derussy were my introduction to the wonderful people and culture of the islands. I was a teen, and this experience not only eased my transition to island life but became a place I would return throughout my 15 years on the island. Please don't take this away from others who would benefit from this.
