Disney Cruise Line's New Carry On Alcohol Policy - Remove the policy or add liquor and grandfather in PIF customers! #DCLprohibitiongate2015

Why only wine and beer? We would appreciate one bottle of liquor as an option. I hve emailed and the response I got was just stating what the policy is.

The alcohol policy on DCL has been a great perk and helps defray the extra cost of a Disney cruise.

120 days until my first DCL cruise. I was hoping to BYOB of rum, the drink of ships and pirates! Come on!

I prefer to drink what I like and I can be sure I won't be sick. Some beers have a sickening effect on me. I also think the new policy is unfair in regard to how much can be brought for 3 & 4 nights is the same for longer cruises.

Please reinstate the old policy.

Agreed! The reason we cruise with Disney is BECAUSE they are not the same. We pay extra for that difference. If I want the same, I can go to any other cruise line. Capitalize on your differences as your main selling point, DCL.

Industry standards????? What a joke. Allow the old alcohol policy to stay, or cut the rates to industry standards.

Please reconsider this policy change. Using the phrase, "This brings us in line with other operators in our industry." Is not a valid reason to take away a benefit. Don't be a part of the pack! another reason which was given was that this will speed up the check in process. Actually it will slow it down because you'll be busy trying to confiscate people's stuff that they try to bring anyways.

Change alcohol policy.

We have members of my family who don't stick beer or wine. Not asking to bring on a whole bar - but if wine is allowed so should the same amount of all types of alcohol .

I am a Platinum Castaway Club member and we currently have two cruises scheduled that are impacted by this new policy. We are not heavy drinkers but do enjoy a glass of Baileys or Kahlua to wrap up the day sitting on our verandah. We felt like one of the reasons that we were willing to pay more to sail Disney was because of their liberal alcohol polices. I can see limiting the amount of alcohol one can bring on board but I think allowing each adult one bottle of distilled spirits would be reasonable.

Poor taste in such away it was announced, some have allergies to beer & wine just a way to make more money .we sit in our room just before dinner and enjoy a few drinks before dinner. Not able to do that now!

The ONLY reason we have cruised multiple times on Disney IS because of the policy you can bring your own alcohol on. After the first trip we could have chosen a different cruiseline because my kids already experienced it one time. However, we continued to cruise because it was the best of both worlds and bringing your own alcohol on offset the extremely higher cost. I think you are making a mistake and will lose repeat business. We will now cruise other lines as they are cheaper and offer drink packages.

It's not fair that you changed this major perk for cruisers. If I didn't have kids I'd cancel my cruise. But I'm not going to subject them to the disappointment the Disney Cruise line has subjected me to. I've already paid in full, this is so disappointing! Surely you could allow some liquor, a bottle or two? That's all I'm asking. You have certainly given us a reason to check out other cruise lines when we plan our next cruise. We will definitely not considered Disney cruise line, you have no perks that separates you from anyone else anymore.
