DJs and speakers, playing unbearably loud item songs, sexually suggestive, referring to the physical attributes of women, are a disgrace to the actual purpose of the Ganeshotsav festival. For a religion which respects calls each woman as a devi, shakti, and the ultimate destroyer of demons, this is a shameful way of bidding goodbye to our beloved Lord Ganesha. यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः। यत्रैतास्तु न पूज्यन्ते सर्वास्तत्राफला क्रिया:॥ Where women are honoured, divinity blossoms there.
