The previous petition of the CT Tattooers for Change was a success; we are now the Connecticut Association of Professional Tattooers, Inc. If you are a CT tattoo artist and you signed the last petition, thank you, and congratulations.
By popular demand, we now have a new petition open to everyone.
Current CT State legislation governing tattoo technicians is relatively new and contains vague and irrelevant regulations. It was written by legislators far removed from the intricacies of the tattoo industry. More insightful regulations are required to close loopholes currently being exploited by disreputable individuals who profit with disregard to public welfare. Until now, there has been no official association for the State of Connecticut to consult with on these matters.
By signing this petition, you display your support for the Connecticut Association of Professional Tattooers (CAPT) to represent the interests of the tattoo community to state legislators and health departments.
- We will work to ensure that Connecticut regulation of tattoo technicians reflects the modern concerns and current standards of the tattoo industry.

There MUST be a standard that tattoo artists have to adhere to. No quickie tattoers in our state!
Tattoo artists must be held to high standards. As a consumer of tattoo services, I want to feel confident in the artist's ability and skill.
Im not a tatto artist but i signed this because you shouldn't be able to pay your way through life. It takes blood, sweat, and tears not just cash. Pushing through "students" that arnt ready will surely ruin the industry.
I'd like to think when I go to a shop for a tattoo it's done by someone with experience not some hack that knows how to work the equipment.
Please help us to maintain the integrity of our industry by letting us, actual tattooers, have input and be able to oversee the regulations made upon us.
Open up one client at a time to start. Let's reopen and stop hindering the economy.

Just say no to Tattoo schools. They are a scam and don't teach up and coming tattoo artists what they really need to know.
