Rescues get their funds from the public therefore the public should be kept informed. Especially the people who found the animal. Plus should be told how and why all 9 pups died.

There should be no secrecy around any charity that is receiving public money.

Rescues who are funded by public donations should by law have to provide updates and be transparent

Might make it a lot easier to trace owner or previous owners.

I saved the life of a 6wk old puppy, reared & fostered her. She returned to the rescue six months later - I handed her over to the manager - and never saw or heard tell of her again.

Any rescue should be obliged to update the person who turned in or fostered the animal at the very least. And if the rescue receives public funding it should be obliged by law to make all records of their animals available to any member of the public on request. There is no excuse for secrecy.

I put much time money and love and care into a rescue . I returned all in good health with huge progress made. 5 out of 7 have vanished no rehoming story, no update. I never wanted a public thank you but even a quick update text. Vanished into thin air even though much funding is raised through others no follow through and no transparency, leaves much to thought.
