To whom it may concern,

As you may already know the weather in Paris has suddenly turned quite cold with minimum temperatures reaching one degree below zero. We personally noticed the cold in College Franco Britanique as our heating system seems to be set to the bare legal limit. That limit may work for newer houses with heavy insulation and a modern heating system, but we live in an eighty-year-old house with no insulation and windows that emanate a draft.

We have already addressed the problem to the personnel running the house and received answers such as “it is not zero degrees yet” and “I was just sitting with my window open”. As such logically the next step would be to address you personally concerning heating situation at College Franco Britanique; may you please turn up the heating in our house?
