As a City Council Candidate for NYC's 37th Council District, I will always work to combat antisemitism in our streets, government, and schools. My opponent, who voted against End Jew Hatred Day, has betrayed the Jews of our District, our City, and our State.

Petitions won't do it. You can have six million names, they won't change a thing. In fact, it's a disservice, providing the cheap illusion of action in place of the real thing it. It's words. I signed it anyway. Demonstrating a willingness to put 'skin in the game' by reaching deep inside to find the source of the celebrated Maccabean fire and then relighting it will. I do that too.

Apart from the lies uttered by Ms Mohammad, what was even more revealing is what was not said. Ms Mohammad’s family comes from Yemen where Jews have been persecuted for centuries and where they were actually ethnically cleansed unlike the Arabs of Israel who currently number 2 million. This was not the only ethnic cleansing in the Arab world as 30% of Baghdad was Jewish before WW2. There are now NO Jews in Iraq. The same can be said in other parts of the Arab world. Also revealing is that she never mentioned the Chinese government’s treatment of its on Moslems or that of the Moslems of Myanamar. Could it be that these Moslems are not white? Arab Americans make much of their intersection with African Americans. How then to explain the fact that Dearborn Michigan, home to many Arabs, is the third most segregated city in America. Blacks Arabs not only enslaved Blacks across the centuries, they castrated the males. As recently as a few weeks ago, Tunisians attacked Black migrants viciously. Even the Arab press has commented on the racism that exists in the Arab world. The word Abed or Abdi meaning slave is a common name for Blacks in the Arab world. The Mufti of Jerusalem recruited 2 SS divisions for the Nazis. Hitler was willing to meet the Mufti after being assured that the Mufti had blue eyes. So much for their claim to be people of color. Most amusing of all is the claim that Jews are colonialists. Israel was the Jewish homeland centuries before Islam was first started. Arabs have invaded and conquered around the world. In North Africa, where Arabs from the Arabian peninsula conquered the native Berber population, they outlawed the Berber language. I could go on. Do what you want with respect to the CUNY law school, but don’t lie about history.

Why are public funds being spent to keep alive this disgracefully antisemitic institution? If the administrators at CUNY want to pursue their crusade of Jew-hatred, they should fund themselves instead of scrounging off the public purse.

The speech given at NY law school was unabashed and blatant anti-Semitic. It was filled with Jew hatred. Shameful!
