No Confidence

He is not qualified to be commissioner, no education or training. He should be removed...

Commissioner Santiago has shown contempt for the members of this department, and gross mismanagement of the people he leads. I have yet to hear ONE person on this department who endorses, or even LIKES this man. The members of this department have NO CONFIDENCE him As a former Marine, he should do the honorable thing, and resign his position.

I have no faith in this man.

This officer should be giving award For his concern for his men and turn a hazard situation into a safe environment For all.

We do our job everyday without question,run in when others are running out ..but when the process can be thought out and harm to our members can be prevented to me thats an easy choice ! .... we are no help to others if we can't help ourselves ...

No confidence

Drip, drip, drip, another name added to the list. Some of these names should look familiar; they are suspended members. As a chief officer, I am proud of the active members who had the strength and courage to put their careers on the line, and sign the petition. Commissioner Santiago has lost the respect of the membership. We would have had 4,000 names in the first couple of days, but so many members are afraid. But make no mistake; almost all of us stand together. It is now time for Commissioner Santiago to show the same strength and courage that we have shown. It is my hope that Commissioner Santiago does what a leader should do when they have lost the respect of the members they command. B.C. Thomas Arnswald

Any leader who decides to go above and beyond to not protect his people should not be in that leadership position. It's time for him to go.

He should be fired

Not to accept the judgement of the arbitration is wrong and is double jeopardizing the rules in order to try and achieve a redundant decision already over ruled in order to satisfy the per say of facts rather than to see the facts laid out by truth. Therfore, disrespecting the work and time of all that personel have accomplished. Only to satisfy some egotistical over powering goal by one with no concerns for the moral of the traditional ways of the department and its history of being the best in thrusting its officials. Demoralizing the personel should never be the goals of the best of leaders if in return they want the best of their work of their personel. Leading a vendetta on a individal to set per say and example is not a form of leadership principle rather a lone some temperamental moment. Jh

I feel that he was promoted to his position by the city because he was capable of making the decision to do his job and also protect his men under his command
