I LOVE Calving Coolidge High School. I graduated 25 years ago the school was in dia repair then and it saddens me that the school remains in disrepair til this day. If you build it, children will come. If it is conducive to learning kids will come and be taught. But, if we keep treating the school like it's not valued or worth maintaining that's the very message our children will internalize. Coolidge is historical. Coolidge is legendary. Restore the school and let learning continue and enrollment of our kids can soar, once again :-)

A member of the first City Championship Basketball team, Retired U.S.ARMY SSG and proud graduate of Calvin Coolidge High School Class of 1987. This educational institution is a pillar of the community and rich in tradition. We must retain and rebuild Coolidge!! The late Coach Williams once said, "We will fight until Hell freezes over, then we'll learn to fight on the ice". I have lived by this mantra for 30 years. We as Washingtonians must preserve our history, culture, and Calvin Coolidge High School.

I am an alumni of Calvin Coolidge High School class of 1973. We have been waiting too long for my high school to be modernized. Please allocate money in the DC budget to make this happen NOW! Respectfully, Karen Keane McCrory

The Council kept pushing back the time line for Coolidge modernization in NW,
Wilson, Roosevelt, and Cardozo SHS.
WARD 4 has more of its share of Charter Schools which significantly lowered Coolidge enrollment.
Please keep your promise to modernize Coolidge.

Please keep our school open. Much more than a building, it is Mecca for all of us Alumni that make the journey back home often and would like to see our children and grand children have the educational and social experience we were once afforded.

Please keep Coolidge open. It is vitally important that the neighborhood has a school of excellence in the area. Many strive to make Coolidge just that.
