This is my school. I was Class of '99! My father went to this school. We have to keep some legacy within the community for the next greneration. Keep Coolidge open. Closing is easy. Hiring the right staff and restructuring is what is needed.

I graduated from this school 2 years ago and as I am continuing my journey in college, seeing my high school close is like seeing part of my history being erased.
Please don't close it!

I have been an instructor at Calvin Coolidge SHS for 17 years teaching in the JROTC Department. I personally has good relationship with current students, Alumni, and teachers who have great love for Coolidge known success stories. The academic growth and student achievements that I have been involved in to their success, have given students a future in the world in which we live in. I have worked hard with JROTC students and parents in the community to share in many service learning activities with students who are engaged in building this city with the help of Coolidge community and alumni leaders. We must continue with keeping Coolidge doors open to educate Coolidge neighborhood and surrounding outer Wards youth.

Time to rebuild... the enrollment is down because the wrong people are in the building. Get Ms. Pixley and the crew back, we're losing the kids to the Charter Schools, or the public schools that are now renovated and with the adding of MS into their buildings... renovate Coolidge, add 6-8 grade and let's get back to work.

Please keep my alma mater open to serve the residents of the District of Columbia. This dismantling of the public schools is taking us down a slippery slope.
