The new outdoor area at Alderton's property at Mortdale (video store, coffee shop & sandwich chain store) looks FANTASTIC. It's council compliant, friendly, inviting and safe for customers and pedestrians alike. Whoever complained is clearly just trying to cause some trouble, and is probably a stick-in-the-mud who hates seeing other people having a good time and relaxing with friends at a fabulous local hub. I can only assume that one person's complaint will generate LOADS of support for the business. I’ve recently noticed the change in my neighbourhood that this business has made. It’s contemporary and inviting, yet still very much in keeping with the community atmosphere we enjoy in this suburb. I’ve been living here for well over a decade, and I have never had an issue with the Alderton enterprise. The recently updated outdoor area makes me happy just looking at it. It would be very unfair for this business to have to remove their new additions to the local streetscape. I wonder if the complainant would have an issue if McDonald’s were to try to infiltrate our tiny suburb. Some people simply cannot be pleased. Good luck to you, Buzzbar! I’m sure you’ll win this ridiculous battle :D

buzzbar dining furniture really enhances the look and appeal of that area of Morts Rd. It would be a shame to go back to the old ugly facade of old.

The barriers and greenery look great and are safer than the previous ones and it seems to have brought more business to the cafe. Plus, plus, plus. So why the negative reaction from our Council. A single complaint should not have such an effect. Weigh this against the positive remarks council.

It looks so much nicer, helping make Mortdale an enticing place to come to and spend time and money in. The council would be silly to ask this to be removed.

Why is it that one comment makes councils jump? or is it who the person knows? It's safer, the old barriers could blow down in the wind, the new ones are sturdy and attractive. If anything it's made the street look better. Leave it alone.

I love going to Melbourne and enjoying the outdoor seating. I always think that we have a warmer climate and should have more outdoor than Melbourne so I'm all for it so long as it doesn't impact pedestrians.

We applaud the effort the Buzzbar has put in too create the outdoor space for their clientele, this sort of business should be encouraged in Hospitatlity I support them through this challenge.
