The School Traffic on Brooklodge Grove works very well on a daily basis come rain or shine and such a huge change to the area will give drivers no other option but,to park in housing estates close by and to double park.....only adding to the problem. This road needs to be kept a free flowing traffic road to keep chidren safe and for easy access to and from the school.

This cannot happen - its a busy enough road at school times and closing it will cause mayhem for School traffic and more importantly residents living on the road

This road is essential for access to Brooklodge national school. To close off access of this road from riverstown would have a massive impact on how vehicles reach the school. It would force all vehicles to converge on a single point of access and would create an extremely dangerous increase in traffic volumes directly outside of a school. The proposed closure would also impact traffic on the main road as a massive increase of in vehicles queuing to turn into Brooklodge grove would cause huge delays for vehicles trying to travel the main road.

Huge safety concerns for all children if this road closes. There is too much traffic for this not to have a flow through system! Cars will be turning where children enter the school grounds. It is too dangerous. It makes no sense whatsoever to close this road. This is only to suit residents. No concern for the safety of the children has been taken into consideration.

As a resident for many years on the road, we and the vast majority of us living on the road absolutely want this road to remain open. We are however concerned about safety issues and would like to see traffic calming measures like speed ramps, improved lighting and signage implemented. To close the road will greatly increase hazards and make either-end of the road (Riverstown House & Brooklodge NS junctions) extremely unsafe for everyone - pedestrians, cyclists and traffic. There are many positive alternatives, such as traffic calming measures, extending the footpath from Marwood to beyond Sars, completing the road at Dooley's Lane with cycle & footpaths, to connect Lidl, Scout Hall, Aldi, GCC, Brooklodge NS and Glanmire Community pitches etc, etc. Please make your submission before next Tuesday 27th. - use this link https://consult.corkcity.ie/en/consultation/section-38-road-safety-improvement-works-brooklodge-grove-glanmire Thank You, Toni Casey
