James is one of the most hospitable leaders in Evangelicalism. He invited me to the table when others wouldn’t. I’ve never been good at math and neither is he. I’m thankful that minor theological differences don’t come between us.

I met James immediately before he taught at a large men’s bible study in Texas. I told him a sob story and to my surprise he conducted a impromptu offering for my benefit. They way he guilted those guys into giving was a sight to behold. I cleared a cool 2k so I didn’t even mind when James cut himself in for 25%

James is like a father to me. I stayed at his house a couple times while I was in town. I thought it was just the guest house at first but he and Kathy actually live there! Humble and modest but a famous Pastor deserves better!

I always enjoyed James’ visits to the clubhouse at Wrigley. His pep talks to the team weren’t great but he made me look good. He also has a worse temper and is more unpredictable than me.

James is a protege of mine. We have a lot in common. I have tried to teach him how to have the cake and eat it too but he keeps making rookie mistakes. I told him pretending to have elders and transparency would be his downfall. Why even pretend? The pastor led model is the only way to run a church without giving the haters a chance to bring you down. James and I are not controlling or abusive, we just have strong personalities.

I think I should have my job back.....oops, I mean, I think Pastor James is the greatest person to ever live, has done so much and should have his job back. In fact, he should be given a big raise and sent on an all expense paid trip to compensate for all the stress I have had to deal with.....oops, I mean all the stress he has had to deal with.
