Billy Ruane made an indelible contribution to the rich fabric of Cambridge in the 80's and 90's by promoting new bands and being an example of the worth of "DIY" (with a little help from your friends) to make a strong community. Naming a place in his honor would acknowledge that era in time and his contribution to the performing arts in Cambridge.
