I believe this would benefit all of Grand Island and not just a few. My grandchildren live on the Island and it would be a safe way fir their bike riding. The Island does not belong to just a few.

I am completely in favor of converting the parkway into a bike path. I pray that it happens very soon.

The state will close the parkway anyway and then we lose the $2.5 million.

It is a seasonal highway that is falling apart. Making it into a family friendly bike, walkway & scenic area in the summer. Still having snowmobile use crosscountry skiing in winter and saving the duck hunting is a no brainer. I would hate to see the West River homeowners looking at a State Highway Plow Storage area with a giant salt building. New homes in front of them if the state sold to a developer would be even worse. We need to move on the State Money and get this done for all Grand Island residents

And this is why people will continue to go to Canada to ride to the Falls until a safe route is made on the US side.

I plan to move to Buffalo in the future to be close to family and would really appreciate the convenience of a long bike path that connects Buffalo and Niagara Falls. I think this would be an excellent community resource.

I'm a West River homeowner and I'm in favor of transforming the high speed West River parkway into a mixed use bike and recreation trail. It will be nice to walk to the river without the danger of being hit by a car driving 60 miles per hour.

The west river parkway was a bad idea when it was created, has never lived up to any imagined purpose and is redundant. It is closed a portion of the year as it is. It is an eyesore and invites people to travel at unreasonable speeds in a residential/public area. Regardless of any bike path, the parkway is a net loss that should be corrected.

Can't imagine not wanting to showcase the waterfront. Getting rid of that dangerous road would be an added benefit!
