Please look out for the safety of all—children, children who may be more prone to illness, faculty, and the family members of all.

Please follow science. As a pediatrician I am concerned about the health of these kids. The delta variant is much more contagious and kids under 12 are not vaccinated. Masks work. They have worked in my office all pandemic. I wear a mask 9 hours a day. Surgeons and anesthesiologists have been doing this for years. Please avoid the inaccurate stories and do the right thing for the children. Be on the right side of history. Support kids wearing masks.

Masks should be mandatory. It’s even more important now that the delta variant is spreading which also affects vaccinated. We do not feel comfortable sending our children to school without the mask requirement.

Although this goes a little further than I would go, I agree that anyone who is not vaccinated should be wearing a mask, which would include all elementary school aged children.

Keep the kids and the wider community safe. Prevent outbreaks. Keep masks mandatory for unvaccinated students and staff.

It is sad that scientific facts are not respected or accepted, and that random baseless opinions have taken their place.

Please keep masks on the kids. It is a matter of public health. Thank you.

I am a physician. My kids will be masked. Unfortunately due to the variants cases will rise during the upcoming fall/winter seasons. Ignorance to not mask up.

Pediatrician. Could not be more concerned that we are going in the wrong direction with rising rates of COVID. I have three kids who are not eligible for the vaccine and they mask without complaint. This is a mild inconvenience to get life a little more back to normal.

Masking is the safest way to continue to keep school aged children safe in the face of emerging more virulent and highly transmissible SARS-CoV-2 variants.

Let’s think about those who have not had the chance to get vaccinated yet and keep them safe.

I expect our school board to protect our children and hold them accountable for that job even above teaching them. Especially when kids are too young to be vaccinated, masks must be required. It's a temporary seatbelt against COVID until vaccines are fully rolled out. Do you buckle your children in?

We have new variants of this virus and kids can’t get vaccinated at this time. The least we can do to protect them is have them wear masks. It should be mandatory
