As a Filipino here in Los Angeles, i grew up poor in the Philippines deprived of the opportunities cheated by the corrupt politicians that's why my sentiments goes to those fellow countrymen who were oppressed. When I went home last November I can see in their eyes how thirsty they are for a change. No wonder my fondness of Mayor Digong sparked as I researched how he is as a person. Peace!

Yes everything you wrote are true .I am from born and raised, currently residing in New York U S A but visit Davao once a year. I can compare easy the condition between Manila (which I have a house there also) and,Davao ..Just for the taxi situation and I personally experienced it the taxi driver from Davao are most honest than in Manila...I have,a lot of b ad experiences getting a taxi in Manila ..I am always hesitant and not trustful in flagging one...Most of them are dishonest..just one thing I could comment on our Mayor Pres. He might not be a good one to express his words in decent and soothing manner but rest assured He has a big heart for everybody especially the one in need....if u follow the law you do not have to worry...

I went Davao twice during our vacation in the Philippines. If I chose a place to live rather than Australia, I will chose Davao as my second home.
