My family has lived in the first block off Wisconsin Ave. in East Bethesda for 20 years this year. We have seen many developments, mostly well managed by the County in concert with the East Bethesda community. What is now proposed by the Planning Board is not fair and will impact negatively our community.

I support keeping growth smart. Requiring appropriate building heights near single family homes, buidling schools to deal with the new densities, and requiring developers to maintain trees as well as provide meaningful green space.

Do not turn Bethesda into another Rosslyn. Most buildings in Bethesda are 4-6 stories and yet the PB is adding many buildings 12-27 stories. This is about money for developers. Listen to your PB staff and scale back these oversized buildings which will ruin Bethesda.

Please be reasonable and consider the negative impact of traffic congestion, our already overcrowded schools, air quality, diminishing green space from overbuilding. This does not benefit any of the people who live or work here now or will live and work here in the future.

Be responsible and practice sustainability. I have lived in Bethesda for 20 years and am highly concerned about the new zoning decisions that will have a negative impact in our community.

Traffic in Bethesda is horrendous and schools are overcrowded. Both problems have gotten worse over the decade that I've lived in Bethesda. Dramatically increasing the population without addressing infrastructure will making living here very unpleasant. Current residents use public transporation, but they also drive. Future residents will do the same.

PLEASE! Consider the density in our already over crowded schools and roads. No more big buildings! Bethesda is a suburb with many single family homes -- this is NOT an urban area!!

Please rescind the zoning decisions in Bethesda. As a 22 year resident, I'm very concerned about the proposed increased density.

Expansion of building by 50% with no increase in green spaces and no consideration of traffic impoverishes all ; who benefits?

Please do not let the density grow in our neighborhood. The quality of life is negative, expenses will increase for traffic, schools and more. Are you ready for that?

I am in the real estate business but even I know more is not always better. Let's maintain what makes Bethesda great, a smart mix between urban and suburban. The over development needs to stop.

The increase in building capacity, especially residential, is poorly and inadequately thought out. I support smart growth, but this is just growth. You cannot add residential and office properties of this magnitude without considering the existing infrastructure. Metro is already past its breaking point, and while it is admirable to promote living within walking distance of amenities, the truth is that the majority of new residents will ALSO drive. There is no excuse for failing to consider the obvious strain on already-packed roads that this new level of development will bring. There is FAR more to consider than whether developers would like to construct additional housing and office space, but this increased capacity plan considers none of that strain. This is unacceptable.

Please add Old Georgetown Office Park to the list. It has been approved for higher height WITH residential homes inside. It is located on Old Georgetown Road and Glenbrook.

The last thing Bethesda-Chevy Chase needs is more tall buildings. Let's focus instead on improving our over-stretched schools and clogged roads!

Please inform me as to how I can become more active in fighting this insane level of development.

Thoughtless overdevelopment out of proportion to the ratio of land/ open spaces and residential neighborhoods plus inappropriate unhealthy population growth due to unbridled greed by developers and idea that new developments will produce significant revenue for the county to offset decreased revenues in the budget from real estate upcounty. i.e building on the backs of bethesda and chevy chase for revenue purposes only and community services will not be able to take care of the expanded population. Go back to the drawing boards and get better urban planners and constituents involved as consultants before approving any new plans.!

We need to scale back the heights and densities in the Bethesda Sector Plan, both because our local infrastructure simply will not support it, and because we need to protect neighborhood character and quality of life, both in Bethesda itself, and in neighboring residential communities. Parking lots 10 and 24, which are heavily used, and needed, should be saved for surface level parking in their entirety, or saved in part as parking lots, with the edges closest to the Town of Chevy Chase made into a park. There should be NO BUILDING on the parking lots themselves. And the low-profile buildings with Tudor style roofs in front of Parking Lot 10 should receive historic preservation and not be torn down. And this idea of trading densities is ridiculous, and serves no public purpose! Save neighborhood character, and preserve open space and green space! Communities, not Canyons! End the madness!

Get the density down to what the professional staff recommended.

Roll these approvals back before we become the Crystal City of MOCO.
