Like so many other commenters on this list and other people who have signed, and even the folks who have started this petition, I wholeheartedly agree.
Sincerely speaking, I personally think it is a bad idea to add romance to Big Hero 6. There has never been any inclination for romance and drama so why add it to an extremely successful and endearing story about two brothers and friendship. As a fan, even though I enjoy some romance and drama from time to time, I can also appreciate the beauty of the original plot and setup in Big Hero 6 which is one of those stories that does not need to have romance and drama; not every story needs it and is most times better without it. In some cases, the drama and romance can even detract from the message and the overall storyline making it seem a forced and unnecessary.
I can certainly add on to my own comment about this. But I really just want to drive this point home. Yes, romance and drama can be fun. BUT, keep in mind what made a show or movie so popular that did not have any of the romance or drama in it. If the fans did not care about that aspect of a story from the beginning then most will not care if there is a continuation. I think it is way more interesting and important to flesh out the story and dig deep into the character's background and answer questions the fans will and may have.
For example...I would like to know about the Hamada's family more. Did Tadashi ever struggle with anything? What about Wasabi? What's his story? Or Honey Lemon? Screw romance for Big Hero, lets dive deeper than romance can ever touch.
Romance is sometimes just overkill. Although if aunt Cass went on dates, that may be ok with me.

I have to agree. Big Hero 6 was a great movie on it's own without any romance, and much as I love my ships, I've enjoyed the fandom not being subject to shipping wars. Let's keep it that way!

(INCLUDING the ones about GFalls, Steven U, and Tmnt... that's one of the reasons why I've tried to learn about the shows and yet stay away from the fandoms...
1. I don't want to fight with people about their rights because I don't support RubyXSapphire
2. I just want to understand what people are talking about when they mention Gravity Falls, not get yelled at for not having seen it all this time!
3. I'm already driven mad by the April ships...
people will go even more insane if they all saw the new movies because of the whole
"Mikey has a crush on April but she's taken by a camerman named Vernon" )
I would hate to see our favorite movie change too much because of a show that it would make the Big Hero 6's fandom go more nuts than Steven universe's...
I love Big Hero 6 and I really hope it doesn't end up like Alvin and the Chipmunks, where there would be so many modernized movies and cartoon shows that people would hate it and be rude to the people who still appreciate it like me. ;-;

I have to say do enjoy some romance from once in a while, however, romantic subplots tend to ruin a good story with lots of potential. The Big Hero 6 movie did amazing without them, it would be nice if the upcoming show stayed like that as well!

I totally agree. The only love that should be on the show is normal fluff. Some shows that are similar to BH6 don't have any romance in it and they are pretty awesome. If you want romance; go search for fanfiction.
