This is an historic site and there should absolutely be NO homes built on this property. Losing our history to developers should not be an option for Charleston.

I am a historian who has researched Ashley Hall for some time. Ashley Hall is S.C.'s Plymouth Rock. An archaeological survey does little to express the multicultural significance of this place and the Bulls. The highest and best use is as a public park similar to Pilgrim Memorial Park at Plymouth Rock. More time must be taken in this matter. If Ashley Hall can fall, all can fall.

It's a beautiful place where I grow up and have had fond memories I plan to bring my children to when I'm older

Allowing this development for the short term gain will result in long term consequences for this beautiful area. It's perfectly expected that there will be development but it needs to be in keeping with the surrounding developments. Please stop this ridiculous "cluster f"

I once lived and boarded my horse at Ashley Hall Plantation. There was said to be silver buried under the steps of the old plantation house. And as a child, I dug up arrowheads on the property. Destroying this historical landmark is disgraceful! I hope the ghosts of the old plantation come back to haunt the developers.

Ashley Hall Plantation is one of the oldest site on the Ashley's River with a rich, beautiful history of friendship and peace. Please do not allow additional annexation of this site. Please save Ashley Hall!

Drove by this on Saturday. Gorgeous property! It's a shame that they want to break it up into housing. PS. It would make a LOVELY city park rather than the old Piggly Wiggly property! Historic area saved, beauty preserved for all. Win-win!
