As many of you know, that Aptos Redevelopment Project is moving ahead. However, there has recently been a snag coming from a public appeal due to them making changes AFTER the project had been approved. I have lived here for 5 years, having grown up in Gilroy and spending a lot of time in the area and I'm happy I moved. This place is great, but the County and Swenson Builders don't want it to stay this way.

I dont want to see the quiet comfort of Aptos destroyed because some builders were upset that vacant land "wasn't used to its commercial potential". That's part of why most of us like this place. If you want to add 63 apartments and loads of shops inside the lot in front of the post office, then that's your choice.
