No need to develop Croyde anymore, the roads are already maxed out in the summer, this year on August bank holiday there would have been no way to get an ambulance or fore engine through it so bad already. it’s just greed, if you want lodges put them in your existing land...

Croyde is at saturation point. Whilst Ruda bring tourists to the area , we have to be very careful of over development of this nature. Don’t kill the goose that lays the golden egg. People visit the area because if it’s beauty not the crowds . Please do the right thing for this wonderful corner of North Devon. The impact on this area would be irreversible if this goes ahead

Apart from potentially ruining an AONB the site is already quite big enough, and the local infrastructure cannot properly support the increase in summer visitors as it is.

Any decision to develop business based on use of countryside should be made by the local population in a coop business where everyone benefits, and deals with the costs (money, increased tourist traffic etc). So I'm signing this petition to help stop this proposal.

Croyde can not handle any more visitors than it currently has! It can only just handle the current number of people visiting in peak summer, particularly in terms of traffic flow into and out of the village, parking, restaurants, space on the beach and the amount of rubbish produced. Ridiculous to even consider inviting more tourists to such a tiny location.

Please no more - our roads are conjested and more traffic is reducing air quality which is exactly the reason people come here. How much profit needs to be made before companies feel they have generated enough wealth. More than e er before we need to put health happiness and peace before profit - please please please don't let this go ahead. I drive past the eyesore of the abandoned project on the way to Croyde that was featured on grand designs. Greed, ego and wealth - bad for our local area, our health, the landscape the congestion and the wildlife.

A previous owner 20 yrs ago tried to "buy up" much of Croyde; when Parkdean took over there was a definite improvement in relations between village & Ruda. Parkdean owners: don't go down the route of alienation from not just your neighbours but also (judging from comments) also your loyal customers! Croyde cannot accommodate more traffic and people. Goose and Golden Eggs come to mind...

Please don't do this to our village.
I hope that the biodiversity has a chance to continue to survive in this area by protecting this land, and other land like it.
Also, Croyde cannot cope with any more tourists, even during the summer season. The road access into and out of the village is already at, or above, its capacity during peak season, there isn't proper infrastructure for walking or cycling safely through and in the village, and to that site.

Greed not need. Rude 'prides' in advertising SSSI site for people to visit.
However wants to further use green
Agricultural space.
They employ minimal full time perminant employees.
The touring space they currently have is not used all year round.

Green spaces are vital and in this case provides a corridor for wildlife between the shore and the fields/hills behind.

It is pure greed on the part of Ruda. Don’t they ever look at this beautiful area and appreciate it instead of just looking at more money. It is truly despicable that this should ever ever be granted.

Croyde's beauty is in it's natural unspoilt state, so please do not add more buildings, people, traffic, noise and disruption to an already congested area. The residents, AONB and wildlife of the village must be considered, looked after and protected for future generations to enjoy as we have done.
