Appeal Against Ruda Plan on Green Field Site in AONB

I love Croyde and have come here on holiday many many times. It's a gorgeous place to be and is truly beautiful and needs protecting for future generations. It would be criminal if Ruda was allowed to expand. Croyde and the surrounding area is already strained in the summer season and there is not enough infrastructure to support this expansion. Roads are already stretched and the village overcrowded, expansion by Ruda us unnecessary and would spoil this area if outstanding natural beauty.

Croyde is already so overcrowded - it will completely ruin this lovely village to have yet more caravans built on this land

The existing site is run down as it is and parkdean just care about clawing in the money. And Im staying here ! They need to look after what they already have

Save our surroundings (SOS)

I have been a frequent and loyal visitor to this outstanding and largely unspoiled area of the country. The local infrastructure and roads do not support this expansion. It would ruin the surroundings and I would likely not return, after many years of family enjoyment. The expansion is for nothing more than greed and the investment could be better used to improve the existing infrastructure at Ruda which has somewhat fallen in to disrepair over the last few years.

Crazy. Destroying the very thing that people come to enjoy.

AONBs are constantly under threat and without public support they would be eroded away. The view in this area from the coastal path should be protected.

If this application is allowe then how long until the next field is turned into a caravan park and the next field. We need to conserve our remaining green spaces for resilience against cmimate change.

I’ve been coming here all my life and the traffic has always been an issue. Adding more dwellings will add to the bottleneck on moor lane and would be dangerous

As a long term visitor to Croyde, over 50 years, I am horrified at this prospect. The area, services and facilities simply do not exist to accommodate an increase in visitors. It will ruin the area, and I for one would not visit, based on the ridiculous number of visitors this summer. I really feel such sympathy for the residents of Croyde who will see the willful destruction of their beautiful part of the country.

Croyde and its beach is already very busy in the summer to the point that surfing is only possible before 11 and the village facilities are overwhelmed. Further development will damage the very things that made croyde a desirable place to visit. A holiday park should not dominate its environment and economy or potentially kill the golden goose.

I’ve been a regular visitor to Croyde since I was young, over 35 years now, within this time there have been some changes to the area but in my opinion generally changes that have benefitted it and not changed it drastically, having looked at these plans however, I feel this could have a drastic and dramatic effect on the environment, the landscape views, population, pollution etc... I feel that there are enough caravans on the Ruda site already and a sensible limit is where the current level is, keeping a village like Croyde that mixes its heritage with a sensible level of progression is a good thing, but plans that could destroy this ethos should be halted. Good luck with the campaign!

I have visited Croyde almost every year for 65 years and it is an area of outstanding beauty which in my opinion would be totally spoilt by the proposed extension of Ruda.

traffic congestion, ocean pollution and overcrowding will RUIN Croyde. As a local resident of 26 years, I ask you turn this down.
