Years ago, Daylight Savings Time in Israel was brought in after the Passover holiday so that we could start the Seder at a normal time and ended just before Yom Kippur so that we did not have to fast during that extra hours of daylight.

In recent years, politicians have turned DST into a political issue and in doing so damage tens of thousands of Israelis who do not want this "extra" hour. The rationale that it saves electricity and lives is nonsense and unproven. We call on the government to act reasonably and in the best interests of the majority of Israelis (93% of whom attend Passover Seders that now must begin an hour later; 73% of whom fast on Yom Kippur).

Daylight Savings Time should not be a political decision. Return the timing back to what it was for decades. Begin it AFTER the Passover holidays and end it BEFORE Yom Kippur.

Seeing this momentum gather is exhausting but necessary as we push back against decisions that ignore our traditions. I am grateful to those who were here from the beginning when this felt like a lonely fight.

This would enable the large majority of citizens who celebrate Pesach, to have their children awake and involved in the seder. This is NOT only for the religious, but for the majority of Israeli citizens, including secular people, most of whom DO have a seder as well as children!

ממש מקשה. אני גם זוכרת שזה היה כל כך יפה להתחיל את הסדר מוקדם ולצום מוקדם. כל כך לא מתחשב.

Changing the clock before Pesach and after Yom Kippur causes hardships. Why can't we have standard time year round. We are a Jewish country, the clock has to fit our needs.

PLEASE change the times as those mentioned! It is so difficult with small children to finish the Seder late at night!! And fasting that extra daylight on Yom Kippur is extremely difficult!!

Ridiculous to institute this at all in our sunny country, but it's definitely wrong to change it before the Seder and Yom Kippur!!

totally against DST. but if some people insist on doing it, at least start it after Pesach and end it before Yom Kippur.

Love DST, but the proposal in this petition makes perfect sense!

Actually in recent years it's been static and working well. Before that it was all over the place depending on which government was in power. Get me a petition to eliminate DST altogether and I'll sign.
