As a fellow law enforcement officer and former collegiate baseball player, I believe it is our duty as citizens of the fine state of Georgia to honor these fallen heroes via our University System of Georgia in any way possible.

These two young men made the ultimate sacrifice for their community. That in and of itself merits this honor being bestowed upon them. But if you look closer into the events of that fateful day, you see the ultimate example of teamwork. Two teammates who had each other's back, committed to one common cause of protecting their community and not willing to let anything or anyone stand in their way.

I've lived here my whole life 45 years and we name things after others for far less reasons & I agree that since GSW is a very big part of Americus that the field should be renamed so that these 2 remain a big part of Americus also.

I absolutely LOVE this!! Being part of BACK THE BLUE of Valdosta GA we back our officers here and all through the state of GA and couldn't imagine more of a loving thoughtful gesture this is and how it means so much to each and everyone of us!!! Let's do it!!
