I have already sumbitted my comments to the council concerning the application.via the official feedback route. My views have not changed. Have we not learnt from our tower block mistakes from the 60s and 70s? Furthermore loss of light and sun would occur. Wind tunnels would increase. Low to medium density housing should be maintained to preserve the skyline and to harmonise with surrounding buildings.

I really do object to this and also for any other planning applications for similar sites such as this one to be considered along York Road for all the reasons mentioned in the petition. It is really important that the Council should very quickly create and stick to a master plan for this area that advocates sensible development, local housing needs, tangible community benefits and also respect for its neighbours and other citizens of the area.

This area already has massive problems with traffic and parking. It simply cannot take more!

My main objection is the height of the building as we will lose privacy and natural light on our balcony

I strong object to this planning application Itis too high and will adversely impact the quality of life for existing tenants. Sunlight is scare the best of times, proposals such as these will throw my flat and plenty of other flats into the shadows thus compromising my quality of life.

I am a local resident and the height, bulk and character of the proposal is such that it will completely dominate the area. I hope that the Council sees sense and does not let this go ahead.

The building is just too large for the area

This development is a disgrace in its current form. It is excessive in almost every way and the developers are clearly squeezing every penny of profit from this site, at a huge cost to the current residents in the area. If the council planners approve this plan that breaks so many of their own guidelines it is a complete farce and should be investigated.

I can't believe any council planner with any sense would give permission to these monstrous plans - would they?

The excessive height of the building will severely impact the amount of sunlight and daylight to the surrounding residents, this needs to be taken into consideration by the architects.

I strongly object to this and similar planning applications for sites along York Road for the reasons cited in the petition. I encourage the council to prepare and adhere to a master plan for the area that prioritises sensible development, local housing needs, tangible community benefits and respect for its neighbours.

I object to the above planning application on the grounds of excessive height, scale and noise emission from commercial units to the neighbouring residential flats.
