Enough is enough . We residents live in this area because the balance of occupation % is about right. If this application is approved not only will our enjoyment will bee lost we will be subjected to overcrowding in terms of humans and traffic. The road and parking infrastructure is struggling to cope at this time . If this developments is approved there is no room to better the existing inadequate infrastructure. The loss of light is of particular conern. Developers push hard to get their plans approved but do not have to stay in an area that they have ruined.

Completely inappropriate overdevelopment of the site, lacking in architectural merit. Unacceptable overshadowing and loss of light to neighbours.

This is greed pure and simple - too tall, too large, totally out of keeping with the surrounding area - a monstrosity.

This development will block light from the current developments along York road & cotton row. These buildings are far too tall for the area and totally out of character

The air quality on York Road is already very poor. This will make it worse, trapping traffic fumes.

happy with the new development and new improved look of the area. However the height is too excessive.

I object to the Homebase redevelopment proposals on the basis that the density, height and scale of the development is totally out of keeping with the residential blocks directly surrounding the site. The transport infrastructure and amenities do not exist to cope with such a development. Especially in light of the combined effect of all the high rise developments being approved in the vicinity.

The Planning officers need to stand up and look after the needs of the local residents

Short sighted to fill such an area with high rise buildings that block out the light of existing buildings

I OBJECT to this planning proposal which is ludicrous and obscene. It does not take into account quality of life, privacy, light, of people currently living in the area. It is not in keeping with the developed sites already in place and will set an unprecedented proposal for future developments and is not in accord with local policy. The local residents are already STRUGGLING with the unfettered use of local (and lack of ) amenities. The local area is UNABLE to support this proposal IE roads, transport etc etc. I urge that this proposal is NOT accepted. These proposals are already encouraging GREEDY freeholders to want to descimate its agreements with leaseholders in their quest to create larger and bigger building to maximise their profits thus reneging on leases with long-term leaseholders. This is setting a terrible precedent which is affecting leaseholders and to their financial detriment. The council must put a stop to this unfettered proposals from owners of future use and development of land.

I object to the development proposals for the homemade site on the basis that the density, height and scale of the development is totally out of keeping with the residential blocks directly surrounding the site. We also do not have the transport infrastructure to cope with such a development.

The precedents (especially height) that are being set are the most worrying thing about this (and some other) developments. People are not against development - but want to see something proportional and sensitive to existing residents.
