It's not hard to see that a new pool would be a nice amenity, but at what cost? It would add millions of dollars to the high school reconstruction, which itself is estimated to be $200 million. Any honest discussion of a pool should include cost estimates and estimates on how much it would increase already high property taxes.

Not only does demand exceed capacity at the Boys and Girls Club, it's a small venue, short pool, and not suitable to host competitive swimming.
