most doctor who fans would have seen the night of the doctor prequel to the day of the doctor, it starred the 8th doctor Paul Mcgann who has only appeared once before in the 1996 movie, i believe he is a terrific actor and deserves more time on the role as he showed in the night of the doctor he would give a new spin on the iconic character. creating this series could also show his adventures up to his regenration which apart from some audio plays remain a mystery. i think this spin off could appeal more to a older/teenage audience compared to the growing young child audience of the main doctor who show
