Timpview high school's attendance policy pushes students to an unmeetable standard with 5 minutes of passing time in crowded halls. The addition of 2 minutes of passing time between classes would give enough time to students to get from class to class. We are not asking them to re-write their entire attendance policy, but we do ask that they fix the impossible 5 minute standard that they hold us to. The time needed could be taken out of the first 1-2 minutes of class (which is already the time that some students are coming in late for despite their best efforts). The stress that this policy causes is counterintuitive and will not make better students.
