Not only do vehicles constantly speed down 6th St, but bicycles come down at about 30 mph! We have children, and adults for that matter, that are in danger of being hit. There have been many times I have parked in front of my house and have encountered a speeding car as I open my door to get out! It really is a disaster waiting to happen.

To Whom It May Concern,
As a father of twins living on 6th Street I totally agree with the petition put forth by Rob and Pesha Wright regarding the need to reallocate funding for speed bumps on 6th street due to the high traffic flow as well as the need to regulate speeding on a steep street with children present. In addition to cars, the placement of speed bumps will also require bicyclist to slow down and obey the speed limits because bicyclist coming off the Flagstaff hill tend to exceed the posted speed limits traveling down the step hill on 6th street.
I would very much appreciate your consideration of this petition and allocate appropriate funding for this request for the safety of our children.
