makes total sense. if they want us to be independent learners then let us actually manage our own time for once. tired of being treated like im in year 9.

If the IB diploma encourages us to be more well rounded and independent i cant see any problem why this wouldn't pass. I agree.

Re-read what was said in bold. Indendence, within this context, is not a right. Only those who show their diligence will be entrusted with it. This petition is aimed to gain the college's trust, which as of yet, it does not appear we have. How could we lose what we do not have? However, if you believe that we as a 6th form still need to be told exactly what to do, then that is fine.

I'm not sure about this if I am honest. Look, if some of us are caught doing things that are counter productive during these study periods, the school has a policy to punish not only the person that has committed the offence, but the whole year group. If this were to happen, we have lost their trust and we may suffer worse consequences. I'm sorry, I can't sign this.

We should be allowed to use the gym during our study periods as we are doing something productive and for some of the day pupils - it is their only time and opportunity to use the gym and get fitter.

I strongly support this notion, as I agree that 6th form should have more autonomy in general, given that they know how to be responsible.
