We are objecting to the proposed new opening time of 5.30am at Willoughby Leisure Centre. We have been using the facilities at WLC since its opening and the new opening times will greatly inconvenience your members: 1. Increase congestion from 5.30am - which is already an issue for morning swimmers during the peak week day hours. 2. Swimmers with early work starting times will not be able to use the facility and will have to seek out other swimming options. 3. Many of the 5am swimmers have been patrons of the Willoughby Leisure Centre from the start. We feel that no consideration has been given to continue providing the same service to these patrons as you did in the beginning. 4. We propose that if maintenance needs to be carried out, you should close the centre for a certain period, rather than to delay the opening time - which has a longer term impact 5. We would question the effectiveness of carrying out the required maintenance by delaying the opening time every morning for 3 months.
